Run MiX Panel on the same box

MiX Panel is MixMods' control panel for Rust servers. It is in private preview and not open to other servers yet. This page says what it will do. The full guide fills in when the preview opens.

What it will do

A plugin on your server connects out to the panel. You open no ports for it, and the panel never holds your RCON password.
Your server's config decides what the panel may do. Anything not switched on in that file cannot be done from the panel, whoever signs in.
Hosted or self-hosted. Use it hosted by us, or run it yourself on the same box as the game. A box set up with the setup guide has room for it.
Game hosts too. Because the plugin connects out rather than waiting for a connection, it is meant to work on a game host as well as on your own box.

What we will not say yet

No dates, and no promises beyond the list above. When the preview opens, this page will cover installing the plugin, choosing what the panel may do, and running it on your own box, with every step checked on our own servers first.

In the meantime

Set up a Rust server on a VPS or dedicated box covers the box itself, including RCON kept to your own address.
